Step back in time in this beautiful 1910 home. The 822-square foot apartment was recently renovated from top to bottom, including all wiring, plumbing, fixtures, appliances, and finishes. We kept the historic elements and accented those with new or refurbished period-appropriate materials. The unit has high ceilings, a beautiful stained-glass skylight, and a gas fireplace with a marble and wood mantle. Several rooms have the original chandeliers, typical of the time period the home was built.
The space
New! Unit 202 is a beautifully renovated spacious apartment in a 1910 Mediterranean revival home in the Quapaw-Prospect Historic District. This incredible 1-bedroom unit on the second floor is a private apartment in an Edwardian home, and is furnished with exquisite antiques. It's a 12-minute walk to Bathhouse Row, with beautiful historic homes along the way. The West Mountain hiking trails are right behind the house, and are accessible at a trail head just 100 yards down the street. Step back in time in this beautiful 1910 home. The 822-square foot apartment was recently renovated from top to bottom, including all wiring, plumbing, fixtures, appliances, and finishes. We kept the historic elements and accented those with new or refurbished period-appropriate materials. The unit has high ceilings and lots of windows, letting in plenty of natural light. Several rooms have the original chandeliers, typical of the time period the home was built. Temperature control is handled with a new central heat and air conditioning system. The living room features a chandelier and a beautiful stained-glass light made from a reclaimed church window. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are bathed in light from large windows. Carefully curated antique furniture and decor is accented by newer items that fit the style, creating the perfect home setting. The bedroom has a plush, new queen-size mattress on a beautiful antique bed frame reminiscent of the early 1900s. There is a mix of new and antique furniture to compliment the historic look and feel of the home. The bedroom has a spacious walk-in closet, and the bedroom is complimented by side tables with lamps, and a ceiling fan. The bathroom features a leaded glass window over the vanity, along with an antique cast-iron art deco bathtub that also serves as a shower. The new vanity has a real marble top and is designed to compliment the period of the home. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you could possibly need, from pots and pans to cutlery and dishes. There is a new Cuisinart 12-cup coffee maker. The full-size refrigerator, antique double "drainboard" sink, granite counter tops, and a bar with seating for two. There is also a microwave for quick meals and warming up leftovers. An antique cabinet is filled with interesting vintage items curated from the area.
Guest access
You'll be able to access your unit plus the central hallway that leads to back of the house. There is a shared laundry room on the second floor, which has complimentary washer and dryer units.

Free street parking is available in front of the house for downstairs guests and tenants. A reserved parking spot is available for our upstairs guests and tenants only.

We do not live in Hot Springs, but we have a property manager and family members who can help you out if you need someone to help you with anything in person.

Neighborhood overview
The Quapaw–Prospect Historic District is a predominantly residential historic district on the northwest side of Hot Springs, Arkansas. It covers a roughly nine-block stretch of Quapaw and Prospect Streets. The area was developed between about 1890 and 1950, and contains a cross-section of architectural styles popular in that period. Many homes have been meticulously renovated to highlight their original glory. Guests will find a selection of fun restaurants and shops along Quapaw Avenue, just one block from Prospect Avenue.
Transit
There are bus routes throughout Hot Springs, with stops near the unit. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions withing a 15-minute walk.

Our college aged son stayed for 2 months for a National Parks Forestry Summer Internship at Mt Ida and he was extremely happy with the comfort of the stay, the safety of the area and building by proximity for the Hot Springs Bathhouse Row and to the main roads for commuting. The security of the building with the private entrance and closeness of the building tenants was also a large bonus. The landlords were extremely responsive and helpful and the apartment was well appointed with pristine furniture and appliances, soft and new carpet and laundry onsite. The building was quiet and restful and the Wi-Fi was high speed. Would recommend highly and stay again.

We have a STRICT cancellation policy. Due to so many circumstances that are out of the control of us and our guests, such as illness, and weather events, we cannot give refunds. We can only re-book for future dates if your arrival is at least 30 days away. Please purchase TRAVEL INSURANCE to cover such issues. Allianz offers a reasonable annual plan. We can allow one vehicle for upstairs units (201, 201, 203, 204) in the assigned parking spot behind the building Free street parking is also available, but please observe any signs or markings. The price includes up to two guests. If you bring more than two guests for a day visit or to stay the night, please let us know in advance. We do NOT allow dogs or pets of any kind, including ESAs. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please don’t ask. If we determine a pet is on the property (whether seen on camera or from other visible signs), you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund, and we will impose a $300 additional cleaning fee. ADA registered Service Animals will be allowed once verified per ADA requirements. No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted indoors. Smoking on the back deck is allowed, but all cigarette butts and cigars should be fully extinguished and placed in an outdoor trashcan. DO NOT bring them into the house to put into the trash. Fireworks are not allowed under any circumstances due to insurance requirements. The use of firearms is not allowed under any circumstances due to insurance requirements.

There are approximately 13 steps between the street parking and the front door. There are no steps to climb if you've reserved a parking spot behind the building.

There are four parking spots behind the building for the upstairs units (201, 202, 203, 204). There is free parking on the street in front of the house.
